Japanese Tsunami

Geomorphic Process:

 

The earthquake was caused by the displacing of the Pacific Plate and the Eurasian Plate. The Pacific Plate had been slowly creeping under the Eurasian ate a rate of 83mm/yr. The sudden horizontal and vertical thrusting of the Pacific Plate, displaced the water above which resulted in highly destructive tsunami waves.
